Living Your Best Pain Free Life Contact Us The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass is the largest freestanding facility in the Central Kentucky area dedicated to pain treatment. Founded in 1993 by Ballard D. Wright, M.D., the Center specializes in treating patients for whom traditional medical and surgical methods have failed to alleviate their pain. Our mission at The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass is to provide a multidisciplinary approach to quality and cost-effective health care for acute or chronic pain patients in an atmosphere of social concern and scholarly inquiry. The Center takes pride in its ability to help difficult cases where conservative therapy has failed. As a full-service medical provider for pain management, we have a staff that includes doctors, behavioral medicine specialists, and more. Ballard Wright, MD, PSC Our Physician Practice is the heart of our patient care facility, and it’s where most of our pain management treatment takes place. Ballard Wright, MD, PSC (PSC) main office building located at 2416 Regency Rd is an approximately 15,000-square foot-office building composed of 30 examination rooms for new patient evaluations, office visits, minor procedures, and psychological assessments. It also houses our diagnostic/imaging department and our in-house lab. Our approach to pain management is to abolish the tyranny of pain by utilizing specialists in: Anesthesiology Neurology Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Addiction Medicine Internal Medicine Family Medicine To support such specialists, we have a dedicated team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants, who work alongside our physicians to provide treatment to our patients. Ballard Wright, MD, PSC also has two other office buildings dedicated to the treatment of pain, which are located on the same campus or within walking distance of the main campus. Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Division is located in the basement of 280 Pasadena Dr, next to the main building. Just down the road, at 2201 Regency Rd, Bldg 100, our team of Behavioral Medicine Specialists works with patients to deal with the psychological aspects of their pain. Outpatient Surgery The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass is now affiliated with CHI Saint Joseph Health Outpatient Surgery Center. At the surgery center, the physicians of The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass perform the following procedures: Epidural steroid injections Facet joint injections Sacroiliac joint injections Radiofrequency lesioning (RFTCs) Neurostimulators Intrathecal drug delivery/pumps Single nerve root injections Discograms Lumbar sympathetic blocks Celiac plexus blocks Racz procedure Stellate ganglion blocks Vertebroplasties Minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD) procedure CHI Saint Joseph Health Outpatient Surgery Center is located at 1451 Harrodsburg Rd, Suite D-102, Lexington, KY 40504 .
