Living Your Best Pain Free Life Contact Us The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass is the largest freestanding facility in the Central Kentucky area dedicated to pain treatment. Founded in 1993 by Ballard D. Wright, M.D., the Center specializes in treating patients for whom traditional medical and surgical methods have failed to alleviate their pain. Our mission at The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass is to provide a multidisciplinary approach to quality and cost-effective health care for the acute or chronic pain patient in an atmosphere of social concern and scholarly inquiry. The Center takes pride in its ability to help those difficult cases in which conservative therapy has failed. As a full-service medical provider for pain management, we have a staff that includes doctors, physical therapists, behavioral medicine specialists, and more. Ballard Wright, MD, PSC Our Physician Practice is the heart of our patient care facility, and it’s where most of our pain management treatment takes place. Ballard Wright, MD, PSC (PSC) main office building located at 2416 Regency Rd is an approximately 15,000-square foot-office building composed of 30 examination rooms for new patient evaluations, office visits, minor procedures, and psychological assessments. It also houses our diagnostic/imaging department and our in-house lab. Our approach to pain management is to abolish the tyranny of pain by utilizing specialists in: Anesthesiology Neurology Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Addiction Medicine Internal Medicine Family Medicine To support such specialists, we have a dedicated team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants, who work along side our physicians to provide treatment to our patients. Ballard Wright, MD, PSC also has two other office buildings dedicated to the treatment of pain, which are located in the same campus or within walking distance of the main campus. Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation division is located in the basement of 280 Pasadena Dr, right next to the main building. It houses our Physical Therapy department, where patients work with our Physical Therapist to learn how to better move and exercise their body to alleviate their pain. Just down the road, at 2201 Regency Rd, Bldg 100, our team of Behavioral Medicine Specialists work with patients to deal with the psychological aspects of their pain. Stone Road Surgery Center This Joint Commission Accredited state-of-the-art equipped facility is host to the surgical pain management procedures we prescribe for our patients. The Stone Road Surgery Center (ASC) is housed on the main floor of an approximately 15,000-square-foot building dedicated to the treatment of pain. The ASC is complete with two surgical suites, a procedures suite, and state-of-the-art fluoroscopy. Among the many services offered are: Celiac plexus blocks Epidural steroid injections Intrathecal drug delivery Neurostimulators Radiofrequency lesioning Single nerve root injections Discograms Facet joint injections Lumbar sympathetic blocks Racz procedure Sacroiliac joint injections Stellate ganglion blocks Vertebroplasties Minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD) procedure Why work with us?
